Alert – RAMCO phishing campaign !!!
Several links followed by a note/and or information message are circulating on the Internet and social networks (WhatsApp, Facebook…) informing you about the 46th anniversary of the RAMCO supermarket and offering the opportunity to win money by taking a survey.Recently, there have been many reports of malicious links being spread on social media (WhatsApp, Facebook…).
These links are shared with misleading information claiming to offer the opportunity to win money and numerous prizes.
The scam consists of taking a survey that could lead to winning prizes on the occasion of the 46th anniversary of the RAMCO supermarket.
There is currently no promotional campaign being conducted by RAMCO.
This is a phishing cyber attack aimed at collecting your personal information such as your name, surname, email address, phone number and even your bank details.
Therefore, it is advisable to make users aware of good practices on the Internet:
- Stay informed and vigilant about phishing techniques.
- Avoid clicking on unexpected or unknown links received by email or on social networks.
- Always check if the links you visit are secure (in the navigation bar it is often mentioned the security level of the site often represented by a padlock or a red triangle, Not secure or colored)
- Never give out personal information (name, email, phone number, addresses, …) or confidential information on the internet, especially not on sites whose source is unknown
- Do not share links without verifying their authenticity.
- Regularly check the security of your online accounts.
- Use an antivirus
